Conference CleanMed Europe in Oxford, UK focusing this year on Sustainable Pathways to Healthcare, 17th-19th September 2013, Oxford, UK

CleanMed Europe is the only European conference on sustainability within the health care sector, addressing the environmental impact of the health care sector on a local, regional, and global level.

Hosted this year in the UK, the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare and Health Care Without Harm welcome you to Oxford for the fourth conference of its kind.

This year the conference offers a range of presentations and workshops focused on creating pathways to sustainable healthcare through greening hospitals and clinics, low-carbon technologies, leaner systems and preventative measures. With presentations from leading experts and organisations and over 450 expected participants, this is an ideal opportunity to meet people working in this vitally important industry.

Founded in 2001 by the non-profit organization Healthcare Without Harm, the conference serves as both showcase and workshop for cutting-edge practices where healthcare innovators can gather ideas and find new ways to inspire their organisations.

Eco4Life Conference on LifeScience and Green Valley, 14th – 15th October 2013, Szczecin, Poland

The Conference is the 3rd International Conference within the Eco4Life project framework with topics from Life Science and Cross Border Cooperation.
The meetings at the Conference on the topics of

- Oncology
- Diabetes
- Cardiometabolic Risk

as well as the connected Conference Workshop “Baltic Apheresis Workshop” serve as communication platform and tool for cross-border knowledge exchange, technology transfer and partnering.
The Conference shall attract international awareness to the South Baltic Region. Additionally, the Szczecin conference is organized as Pre-ScanBalt Forum 2013 event, which takes place from 16th-18th October 2013 in Gdansk, Poland. The joint organization and realization of both events, as well as the Conference conclusions will contribute to the implementation
of the Eco4Life project results into the ScanBalt innovation agenda ISIS (within the Flagship “Health Port”)

Bioinnovation & ScanBalt Forum 2013, 16th-18th October 2013,Gdańsk, Poland

This conference is not only an opportunity to exchange experiences and gain valuable knowledge but also it provides a unique opportunity to establish international cooperation between business and life science. Researchers can contact with professional technology brokers and top-class experts, which lives up to the expectations of entrepreneurial scientists and innovative companies on so many levels. Throughout this project the organizers also want to promote entrepreneurship amongst ambitious students and young researchers. The main goal is formation, training and support of all who wish to base their future careers on the commercialization of the research results and that raise initiatives related to biotechnology, chemistry, pharmacy or medicine.

German Conference on Bioeconomy 29th October 2013, Anklam, Germany

The conference takes place in Northern Germany (Anklam, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) on 29th October 2013 as Regional Workshop of the Eco4Life project and is dedicated to challenges and opportunities of “BioEconomy: Science meets Economy”


The scope of the events is:

  • A closer cooperation between science, economy and agriculture, scientific institutions and private companies from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
  • A leverage of synergistic effects
  • Initiating of new product developments
  • Getting to know the partners´ expertise in the field of bioeconomy
