EEN Steinbeis

The Enterprise Europe Network is supported by the EU Directorate-General forEnterprise and Industry and integrates more than 500 initial contact points throughout Europe ptl_files/images/LOI_01.jpgroviding information and advice on EU matters.

The particular task of the Steinbeis Research Centre Technology Management North East within the network for Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is to assist companies in participating in the 7. EU Research Framework Programme (2007-2013) by offering training on setting up a proposal and project management as well as supplying substantial support for submitting proposals to Brussels.

A Letter of Intend between BioCon Valley and EEN was signed on the 21st November 2012. In line with the development of friendly international cooperation in accordance with mutual interests in developing together services for the regions and the members of the both organizations/networks, concerted efforts will be undertaken for the purpose of establishing a long-term mutually beneficial collaboration.

Both parties agree to exercise their best efforts to develop the following forms of cooperation:

  1. Establish ties of cooperation
  2. Promote mutual understanding, collaboration, and personnel exchanges with special consideration of Poland and Lithuania partner regions
  3. Work towards more formal, complex, and binding agreements
Invest in Skåne

A Letter of Intend between Invest in Skane and BioCon Valley as legal cluster manager of the Eco4Life Clusters Baltic Green Healthcare, Baltic Diabetes Cluster and Baltic Biomaterial Cluster
was signed for the common development of services and products for the regions of Skane an the partners of Eco4Life.
The members of the both organizations/networks will undertake concerted efforts for the purpose of establishing a long-term mutually beneficial collaboration.

Both parties agree to exercise their best efforts to develop the following forms of cooperation:

2.   Promote mutual understanding, academic and economic collaboration, and personnel exchanges.

The priority areas of collaboration are so far, but not limited to: Diabetes Management, Sustainable HealthCare, Clinical Trials and Healthy Food.

BioCon Valley: Lead Partner of Eco4Life

 

BioCon Valley is Lead Partner of Eco4Life and legal cluster manager of the following
clusters originated from the EU-Eco4Life project: 


Baltic Green Healthcare Cluster
Baltic Diabetes Cluster and
Baltic Biomaterial Cluster

The aim of the clusters is to develop a common transregional approach in the whole Baltic Sea Region, according to the policy of the ScanBalt flagship project "Baltic Sea Health Region" as part of the EU Baltic Sea Strategy. 


Invest in Skåne is the official regional promotion agency facilitating inward investment to Sweden’s southernmost region Skåne, as well as promoting internationalisation of the regional industry. Invest in Skåne provides free professional advice and services to companies considering Skåne for future investment and/or expansion. Invest in Skåne also assists Swedish companies to find international partners.

Invest in Skåne is one of the official organizations promoting the life science cluster Medicon Valley, which today is one of the world's leading life science clusters. Medicon Valley has groundbreaking research groups within cancer, diabetes, neuroscience, inflammation and infectious diseases. In addition, Medicon Valley shows a unique interplay between businesses, hospitals, universities and public research institutions, resulting in a dynamic environment rich in innovation a knowledge sharing.

Lithuanian Diabetes Association LDA

The Lithuanian Diabetes Association LDA is a non profit organization with the following aimes:
- to provide mutual aid and assistance to all diabetics;
- to promote the study, the spread of knowledge and the proper treatment of diabetes;
- to remuve all present limitations of diabetics discrimination in their rights to labour, studies, insurance.
The Lithuanian Diabetes Association plays the leading part in realization of the National Diabetes Programme of Lituania: by making representations to the government, the LDA helps to ensure ttl_files/images/LOI_02.jpghat the standard of diabetes care is maintained.
At present the LDA comprises over 5 thousand members: Community of Nurses-diabetes teachers, representative offices of Companies rendering medical services such as Eli Lilly, Novo Nordisk, Medisana which provide assistance to the country fall under the membership of the LDA.

A Letter of Intend was signed between LDA, represented by Dr. Vida Augustiniene and Dr. Wolfgang Blank, CEO BioCon Valley on the 16th November.
