Eastlink 2012 Klaipeda

 

The ”East Link”-Conference is organized in Klaipeda, Lithuania every 2 years. In 2012 the conference with exhibition was held during the 1st-2nd October in the  ,,Vanagupe“ hotel in Palanga, Lithuania.

The concept of “EastLink: the way to knowledge economy” cooperation is based on EU Eastern partnership policy and the new Central Asian cooperation strategy.
The main goal of EastLink is to recreate and create new links of science, research and business cooperation in post-Soviet geopolitical area with the aim to strengthen competitive positions in the global economy.

Content of the conference was drawn from three main sessions. First session “LAB to Market” was dedicated to present the research infrastructure and the case studies of successful research result commercialization. The second session “Science has no borders”- was dedicated to facilitate the cooperation between universities in an area of cooperation. The third one was “Technology Market” session. With an intention to introduce the conference ideas to public and to expand facilities for presentations, appropriate conditions for conference participants were provided through physical presentation of “Technology Market” topics.

South Baltic Fund ,,Eco4life’’ project was also presented at scientific research institutes and business exhibition which was the part of ,,East link 2012’’ conference. The objective and targets of ,,Eco4life’’project have been introduced for the conference visitors. Conference guests were interested to the “Eco4Life”project, its activities and primary results.
